One Heart’s Vision

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says: Rejoice with me. I have found my lost sheep.”

This parable is found in the Bible in Luke 15:4. It clearly shows how God cares about every single person. He does not say, “Oh, I still have 99 sheep left. Who cares about the one sheep that got lost.” No, He goes after that one sheep because it’s important to Him. He even leaves the flock behind for a while, just to save the one.

Many people in the world are in trouble, and hardly anyone cares about them. They are on their own. They are lost and broken, outcasts even. We have a heart for these people. God cares about them. We care about them.

Teenage girls and women are especially vulnerable. Often they are misled by people who say they care (like loverboys), but lead them into abusive situations, like human trafficking or forced prostitution.

Our vision is to prevent situations like these by reaching out to kids and teenagers to warn them about these dangers.

Our vision is also to go into dark places, like brothels, to reach out to women who are being abused there and show them that they are loved, that we care, that there is a way out, that there is hope.

And finally, our vision is that once people are set free, they get to leave the past behind and live a new life in peace and freedom.

Our hearts beat as one with God’s heart for the lost and broken. Will your heart join our hearts too?
